150 Jaar Keti Koti

To mark the 150th anniversary of Keti Koti, I collaborated with INCLDUED on a campaign video for Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, honoring this historic moment of remembrance and freedom. Shot in Rotterdam—a vibrant city shaped by many cultures—the video reflects the diverse voices and stories that make this commemoration so meaningful.

As someone with Surinamese roots, this project was deeply personal to me. My own cultural background helped shape the campaign’s narrative, ensuring it resonated authentically with the community. Video portraits brought a personal and emotional depth to the film, while wide lenses created a strong sense of presence and intimacy.

Filmmaking Reel 2023

Rather than a traditional compilation, I wanted this reel to feel immersive and meaningful. The imagery is carefully chosen to complement the poem, bringing its message to life in a way that feels both cinematic and personal. Through this approach, I aim to show not just the work I create, but the emotion, depth, and storytelling that define my filmmaking. it’s a reflection of how I see the world around me and how I tell the stories that I find within it.

For this brand campaign video for Home of Recruitment, we focused on the human side of recruitment by highlighting the vibrant people who make the company what it is.

The storyline explores the different reasons someone might take the next step in their career, from personal growth to new challenges, all while keeping a lighthearted tone that reflects the brand’s open and approachable identity. The result is a campaign that feels authentic, relatable, and full of character. Just like the people it represents.
